Reading things like the following post from a new student at NU makes me feel so proud to call myself a graduate, AND an employee, of a University that is influencing the lives of people just like this man! I love my alma mater, and I love me job… ‘nuff said.

I should be sleeping right now. Tomorrow is orientation. But in all honesty, I can’t sleep. Right now, my excitement level on a scale of 1-10 is beyond 10. I can’t wait for orientation, and can’t wait to see what God’s gonna do this school year.
In my room right now, just cherishing the last moments of summer. And in general, I’m excited for this week in general, to meet new people, visit the campus once again and to start a journey of a lifetime.
I pray for each and every student at Northwest to do their very best this year, no matter what you’re pursuing. I pray that God will bless you this year, as you are all transitioning to probably the most important stage of our lives. As some of you are leaving your families to live in the dorms, I pray that those of you who are leaving your families, stay connected. Lord, you know the plans for each student. And I pray that each student will continue to serve you with a full heart. We will face challenges every day. And sometimes, we don’t want to face it in the first place. But I pray that with whatever challenge we have, no matter if it’s big or small… no matter how difficult it is, that we will keep strong in our faith to keep going for you God.
Super stoked to see you all tomorrow at orientation. Let’s make this year count class of 2016!
